Hazardous substances labelling

Hazardous substances labelling
Hazard symbols according to Globally Harmonised System (GHS)

The labelling of hazardous substances comprises various particulars that need to be reflected on the packaging. This includes hazard symbols, the indications of dangers and relevant risks (R phrases) and safety phrases (S phrases). Disinfectants (concentrates) may, for example, have the following hazardous characteristics:

C = Corrosive, Xi = Irritant, Xn = Harmful, F = Highly flammable, N = Dangerous for the environment.

Medicines, cosmetics and medical devices are exempt from the compulsory labelling according to the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances.
