Prepackaged central line kits reduce procedural mistakes during central line insertion: a randomized controlled prospective trial

Sterile, single-use pre-assembled sets can lead to less errors and a reduced process duration

The study investigated the impact of packaged all-inclusive central line kits on the quality of central line insertion. Introduction of a pre-assembled set reduced errors by 35 % and saved resources (5 min faster) while increasing quality of the process (8 % more precise).
