The alcohol-based hand rubs Sterillium®, Sterillium® pure, Sterillium® Gel, Sterillium® Virugard® and Amphisept E are all well tolerated by atopic subjects.

In this randomised and double-blinded study the dermal tolerance of Sterillium®, Sterillium® pure, Sterillium® Gel, Sterillium® Virugard® and Amphisept E was investigated. The products were applied on intact skin of 54 subjects, both atopics and non-atopics, for 6 days. All five alcohol-based hand disinfectants were well tolerated: no or only slight skin irritations occurred in comparison to water. There was no significant difference between non-atopics and atopics.

Use disinfectants safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
