Quality assurance

All measures taken to ensure the quality of a product. Quality control (determination whether a sample possesses the required quality) is only one part of the measures. For achieving the high quality standards, quality assurance is significantly increased by additional measures, e.g. process validation and in-process controls. Quality assurance of disinfectants that are authorised medicines is regulated by the German Medicines Act (AMG), the Operational Regulations of the Pharmaceutical Industry (implementation provisions), and the Drug Testing Guidelines (from 30 Dec. 1994).
