INCI

International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. INCI represents the common nomenclature for ingredient labelling on the packaging of cosmetic products which became mandatory with the implementation of the 6th amendment of the EU Cosmetics Directive (76/768/EEC). It refers to a new terminology developed by COLIPA to fulfil the demands for an international approach. One INCI name may cover several chemical compounds.
