The correct placement of disinfectant dispensers is an important prerequisite for indication-based hand hygiene. Only when hand disinfectants are immediately available in infection-critical moments, e.g. directly at the point of care, is it possible to ensure adequate hand hygiene. As a general rule, disinfectant dispensers must be regularly reprocessed and checked. In particular, wipe dispenser systems for surface disinfectants must be regularly reprocessed to avoid contamination.
