Adenovirus

Nonenveloped, double-stranded DNA virus responsible for the better part of clinical respiratory diseases (pharyngitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia), gastroenteritis and conjunctivitis (e.g. keratoconjunctivitis epidemica). Globally, this human pathogen serves as test virus for virucidal efficacy testing of disinfectants.
