Log10 steps

Video: Log reduction

Measure to describe the reduction of microorganisms. Example: With an initial figure of 10⁶ germs per ml (the log₁₀ value equals 6) and a disinfectant that reduces the number to 10³ germs per ml (the log₁₀ value equals 3) the number of microorganisms is reduced by 3 log₁₀ steps.
