Microbicides

Chemical substances that kill microorganisms. Belonging to the biocides, microbicides are necessary for many products such as cleaning agents, shampoos and cosmetics, but also for paints and varnishes. Here, they ensure good product quality and stability.

Substances that aim at one particular type of microbe are called virucides, bactericides, fungicides, or algaecides.
