Prevention

In medicine, this term is used for prophylactic measures that aim at preventing diseases and damages to health.

There are three levels of preventive medicine strategies:

primary prevention – prior to the occurrence of disease or health damage
secondary prevention – shall prevent a diseases further deterioration or chronification
tertiary prevention – helps prevent relapses and associated complications.
