Guidelines for the identification, prevention and combat of nosocomial infections; published by the German Health Authority (RKI today) in the Gustav Fischer Verlag, Stuttgart, Germany.
It is concerned with the combat of hospital-acquired infections by operational/organisational measures and hygienic measures in healthcare and technical areas. Regularly issued appendices focus on certain topics. The guideline has no binding character, but is used for jurisdiction as state of the art.
