SARS

Severe acute respiratory syndrome; respiratory tract infection triggered by a coronavirus (SARS coronavirus). The SARS-associated coronavirus can survive outside the human body for 24 hours and is characterised by high Virulence. In 2002/2003, the outbreaks in Asia and North America left behind 1,000 dead.
