Decolonisation of MRSA carriers

In health care, decolonisation is the application of antibiotic and antiseptic substances to eliminate MRSA colonisation of skin or mucous membranes with the aim of minimising the colonisation as far as possible, and thus reducing the risk of infection with MRSA.
