Disinfection plan

The disinfection plan specifies workplace or department-related procedures for the disinfection and often for the cleaning as well. It indicates how, who, with what, when and how long the respective disinfection or cleaning procedure needs to be carried out. In addition, it contains statements on monitoring and self-control.

As part of the Hygiene plan, which is required by the IfSG, the disinfection plan is a major element of infection control. It should be adapted to the different situations and risks of infection regularly, explained to the employees and hung up in a prominent place. When subcontracting cleaning, the disinfection plan should be part of the contract.
