Hepatitis A virus (HAV)

Cause of the epidemic or infectious hepatitis. Transmission occurs via food or water. Dirt and Smear infections are possible, Hepatitis A belongs to the most common travel-related diseases. Active and passive immunisation is possible. HAV is characterised by high environmental stability and resistance to disinfectants.
