German Packaging Ordinance

Glossary

German: Verpackungsverordnung (VerpackV). Ordinance on the avoidance of packaging waste from 10 June 1991, amended on 21 August 1998. Commits, for example, manufacturers and distributors to recover and recycle sales packaging (= primary packaging), outer packaging and transport packaging. Can be carried out by third parties, e.g. DSD (The Green Dot).
