RSV, influenza, and COVID-19: How will the current autumn and winter season be?

13.12.2022

At present, there are increasing reports of infections with respiratory syncytial viruses (RSV), influenza viruses and other respiratory pathogens. In Germany, the proportion of RSV infections has risen sharply in recent weeks, especially among young children aged 0 to 4 years. Since the infection can be severe, especially in children at risk, the number of hospital admissions is increasing. Infections with the seasonal influenza virus are also on the rise, while the pandemic radar shows a weakening of the curve.

We are monitoring the infection trend and will pick it up in the first Newsletter 2023.
