Mycoplasma genitalium

Mycoplasma genitalium is a bacterium lacking cell walls and belongs to the Mycoplasmataceae family.

The pathogen can cause non-gonococcal urethritis. In addition, M. genitalium is associated with inflammations of the cervix and endometrium. Main transmission path is direct or indirect contact with contaminated persons or objects.
