It is important to carefully reprocess wipe dispenser systems in order to avoid contaminations.
In the study, 98 refillable wipe dispenser systems were examined for microbiological contamination on the surfaces of the buckets bottoms as well as the outside and inside of the dispenser lids. The outer surfaces of lids were contaminated in 98% of cases and pose a high risk of cross-contamination. The insides of the extraction lids and the bottoms of the buckets were contaminated in only one facility. There, it was found that the dispensing systems were not properly reprocessed.
