The Gram-negative Ralstonia spp. bacterium belongs to the Ralstoniaceae. The non-fermenter has a rod shape with a flagellum.

Ralstonia spp. causes respiratory and urinary tract infections, especially in immunosuppressed persons.

The major transmission of Ralstonia spp. is correlated with exposure of contaminated fluids.
